  1. Circus of Chefs ... The Gala 2012

    Jun 10, 2012   5–9 pm Don't miss this annual event featuring more than 30 exceptional chefs, vintners and brewmasters from the finest restaurants in Madison, Baraboo, Prairie du Sac and the Wisconsin Dells. Taste signature culinary innovations, and sample a refreshing array of beverages. Sensational silent auction packages feature fine art, jewelry, the latest electronics, vacation packages and rare photographic prints from Circus World's priceless collection of glass-plate negatives. The coveted Silver Tray Award will be presented to culinary experts in five categories followed by a sensational live auction. The evening features live jazz music and a martini bar — all topped by an outstanding circus performance featuring the best of the big top. This festive evening of fun, food and friendship benefits Circus World.

  2. Circus Model Builders Convention and Show

    Jun 13, 2012 - Jun 17, 2012   9 am–6 pm Circus Model Builders convention and show. In 1935, "Billboard" — an entertainment industry publication, ran an article about the "Backstein Miniature Circus," which was the world's largest complete, half-inch-scale circus model. Charlie Bennet was one of thousands who read the article, but he was also a builder of miniature circus wagons. Charlie wrote to Bert Backstein and together they formed a hobby club where other circus model builders could exchange information and ideas. Today there are more than 900 members of the Circus Model Builders Inc. located in the U.S., Canada and other countries. Several miniature circus creations will be on exhibit for all to see.
